Mandy Barnett has been making music since the age of 12 when she signed her first recording contract with Universal Records. Mandy spent many of these early years working with the industry's top executives and producers including Jimmy Bowen and Gail Davies. Her debut album would come at the age of 20 with her Bill Shnee / Kyle Lehning produced self-titled CD released on Asylum Records.

In 1998, Mandy teamed up with Music Row founder, Owen Bradley to record what would turn out to be Bradley's last project. The 1999 critically acclaimed release, "I've Got A Right To Cry," was a bittersweet triumph for Barnett. Owen Bradley passed away mid-way through recording, and the project became a tribute to the legendary producer. Mandy co-produced the remainder of the album with Owen's brother, A-Team guitar legend, Harold Bradley and nephew Bobby Bradley.

Mandy has an innate musical talent beyond her vocal abilities, which she proved in 2000, when Mandy co-produced Melanie Walker's gospel album "Only His Love Will Remain."

In 2002, Mandy and Melanie went back to work recording "I Wonder", Melanie's third independent project. Mandy took on full production credit and has created a masterpiece in instrumental and vocal arrangements. This CD has brought about many great career moments for Melanie including:

In 2006, Melanie Walker once again teamed up with Mandy to produce her brand new 2007 release, "The Old Time Way", featuring a duet with gospel star Marty Raybon. Once again, Mandy's unique musical artistry shines through with brilliant arrangements, instrumental orchestration, and vocal arrangements.
